Zachary Bennett formed the indie rock band Yonder in 2004, which was renamed Tin Star Orphans in 2008. As a consequence of the European colonization, Canada's aboriginal peoples suffered from repeated outbreaks of newly introduced infectious diseases such as influenza, measles, and smallpox (to which they had no natural immunity), resulting in a forty- to eighty-percent population. Toronto's population grew to more than one million in 1951 when large-scale suburbanization began, and doubled.  Same is true on the northern shore of Lake Superior, stored colder water left over from the winter does not warm sufficiently, cooling the overriding hot humid air from the south.
